Empowering
Our Community to Save Lives

Help Outreach Taos is a nonprofit organization supporting suicide awareness through education, resources and connectivity to assist in preventing suicide.

Our Mission

To reduce the stigma surrounding suicide in our community and provide support and resources for those in need.

Our goal is to help our community develop their skill set and add to their toolbox, so they feel confident in engaging with community members who may be in crisis.

We aim to accomplish this through education and training, collaborating with community partners, and centralizing resources for those in need of support.

Get Involved

Mental Health First Aid and QPR teaches you how to assist and support others who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge.

You can’t take a training yourself? You can still assist in actively preventing potential crisis and suicide by sponsoring a community member with a H.O.T Stipend.

EVENTS

Right after I took the MHFA course, I was faced with a youth/teen in crisis and contemplating suicide. I was able to have a productive and caring conversation with this person.  I felt like I was confident to offer suggestions to assist in their problem solving and finding correct resources to recommend. I would never have had the resources or the confidence to make this difference if I hadn’t taken the course.
